Canterbury

Canterbury Accommodation

Canterbury is famous for being a place of pilgrimage from medieval times. The city has Roman origins, the beautiful cathedral dates from the 6th century, and much of the architecture in the city centre was built in the 1500s. Spend the day walking the cobbled streets, shopping or visiting cute cafes and pubs. It’s a great city for anyone looking for student accommodation in Canterbury. It’s also only 30 minutes from Whitstable, on the Kent coast, which is famous for its delicious oysters.

Fun fact: The word “canter” (when horses run) comes from the city’s name. Pilgrims would speed up on their horses to get the city before the curfew started.
