Brighton is located on the south coast of England, less than an hour from London by train. Its nickname is “London by the Sea” as traditionally many Londoners visit Brighton for day-trips each summer. Brighton is famous for shopping – especially in the narrow streets called the “Lanes”- its beach and its nightlife. It’s not just a coastal city either, Brighton is just ten minutes from the South Downs, a beautiful national park.
Fun fact: There are more restaurants in Brighton & Hove than anywhere else in the country with a ratio of 1 restaurant for every 250 people
