Medway

Medway is a large area in Kent (in south east England). The area enjoys the benefit of a traditional country location, yet is less than an hour from London in one direction, and the Kent coast in the other. Medway hosts students from four different universities, based in a joint campus near the historical docks. The area was once home to Charles Dickens and puts on several festivals to celebrate the author each year.
Fun Fact: Rochester, in Medway, holds an annual festival to celebrate chimney sweeps. The Sweeps Festival falls on May Day – traditionally the only day off that chimney sweeps would have each year!
